goodwin3224 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) I dont have the front suspension done so the wheels dont have any chamber to them. Otherwise when it is done it will have a air ride set up like they do in the real world plus my frame is narrowed a bit Edited October 19, 2013 by goodwin3224
PappyD340 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Very NICE start Justin, and BTW WELCOME to the forum, it is (IMO) the best on the Net by far!! Love the 65 one of my favorite Chevy trucks I even owned one a few years ago, look forward to your progress. Good luck on the project!!
goodwin3224 Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Thanks and I have been on other forums where they discriminated against you if they wasnt into it. And I used to own a 66
Skydime Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) Cool start. A little different with the duallie wheels. BTW, just so you know, if your post disappears, check for it in the "On the Workbench: Pickups, Vans, SUV's, Light Commercial" section. Either location, I'll be watching this. Welcome to the forum. Skydime Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) I didn't even see half the pictures before because I was logged into my other job. This thing is even cooler than I thought. The 3 link is sweet, I love the faux dually wheel setup in the back, and the 409 is just perfect for this! One thing I would suggest on this...since you are putting so much detail under the bed. Please consider adding some kind of air tank and a train horn or at least a big truck horn under the bed. This thing is screaming for a "get out of my way" warning. It's your build but, I just think it would be soo cool. Edited October 23, 2013 by Skydime

I couldnt think of a more different engine to put in it than a 409, i love those things. I have revamped it a little with scratch built race style vaulve covers and a deep sump pan. And oh yeah of course. after i get the full air ride(bags tanks and battery's) im going to add another tank and a dual air horn setup. also im going to leave the floor primarily open and set it up to where i can take it off and on.
goodwin3224 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 409 so far. starting to think there is to much silver (engine block is black) so im thinking that the valve covers and block will end up painted the accent color of the truck which will be a medium orange

goodwin3224 Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks. I think it should turn out pretty good
goodwin3224 Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 Nice, what will the color be? im thinking, two tone charcoal gray and this orange that i have mixed up
Dinky Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Sounds not bad! Btw where did you bought the tires?
