realgone58 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Awesome! Now I don't have to try and convert one of the old drag racing bodies to build a stock one. What all comes with the kit, and how to order one?
Tom Geiger Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 If I remember correctly, the original of that Vega kit had side panels to convert it to the panel van. If you can find and cast those, you'd have two versions to sell.
mikemodeler Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I will take one, but only if Jungle Pam comes with it!
Alan Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Looks pretty good but here is a good side shot to compare the angle of the rear roof/window Alan
gtx6970 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Outside of JJ I can't think of any other known racer who ran a vega wagon ?????
Tom Geiger Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 When those Vegas were new, a local pizza place, Tony's Pizza, in Hazlet, NJ bought a few. They were red panel truck versions and lettered for the shop. They didn't last long, between the Vega's ability to disintegrate and being driven by over enthusiastic youngsters!
Casey Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Outside of JJ I can't think of any other known racer who ran a vega wagon ????? Norwin Palmer, who would later go on to become an NHRA Competition Eliminator champ, raced this '72 Vega Pro Stock wagon in Grand American action. Now we're talkin'!: Yep, not many well known, 'cept maybe "Smokey" Joe (Lee?).
Dragfreak Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) I own a '71 panel express, if you could make a panel version I would definitely be interested! also will there be louvers on the rear quarters like the 1:1's? and price? I didn't see it on your website. Edited November 10, 2013 by Dragfreak
