cruz Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Let's hope this picture turns out well, I am trying something new from my tablet. In case it doesn't for some reasons show up, I will leave it for tomorrow....
cruz Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Looks like I successfully did this but it might be the last time I try it. Anyway, the paint is Tamiya Pearl White with Testor's Wet Look clear The model is 100% out of box, no additions or alterations were done to it. It is based on the Aoshima GT-R Egoist.....
martinfan5 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 That is very nice, dont see to many done in white
cruz Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 You are right and it's very challenging to photograph the white colors, I had to play a bit with the light and the angles in order to make it look presentable.....
peter31a Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Looks very good to me. Especially considering it's box stock. Nice clean build as usual, Cruz.
Scuderia Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Very very crisp, love that shade of white! Thats great stuff
peekay Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Beautifully clean and precise work, like everything you build.
Shardik Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Looks like you've got the tablet technology sorted. Just like your grasp of the modeling technology . Super clean work here.

kilrathy10 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 This has to be the absolute coolest car the Japanese have ever produced.....I know everybody likes the Supra and the 200sx...But, this thing ROCKS!!!!! Great job on the build....

edward smith Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Incredible work as usual Cruz, can't get over how nice and realistic you always make your panel lines look, specially on a light color such as this. What color did you use for the grayish look on the spoiler and skirts surrounding the car? It creates a cool looking contrast against that pearl white.

Hosted on Fotki Thanks Ed, I used Testor's Metalizer Titanium for the lower parts of the kit with two light coats of clear for a slight shine.
meaneyme Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) What base color did you use to get that pearl to look so good man? I have been told to use white but still can't seem to make it look this good, I mean, you can truly see the pearlish look on this car. How many coats of pearl white does it have? Did you airbrush it?
