KevinMoparFord Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Finished this last week. It is the Monogram 1/24 BelAire kit. It is painted using Scale Finishes Regatta Blue Metallic and Testor's white enamels. No clear coat was used. Bare metal foil and a Morgan automotive distirbutor finishes the details. White walls were painted using Vinyl white paint.
KevinMoparFord Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 It is a factory color, or at least Scale Finishes version of it. The color code is 501. Here is the real car I was trying to replicate.
KevinMoparFord Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 Other shots to show color of real car.
o-man Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Great job! Funny, I was just looking at one of those in the stash this morning. No way it would look as good as yours.
rv1963 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Really nice build, I like the fact that you kept the 6 cylinder.
Harry P. Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I agree with all of the above... very nice. And I love the straight six.
Sixties Sam Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Very nice Chevy! Good colors and I like the six-banger! Good work! Sam
ChrisBcritter Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Looks like India Ivory over Regatta Blue. Nice!
