What do you use when mocking up a bunch of parts to hold them all together? Apart from masking tape, anybody use a particular type of glue? And how to disassemble/remove the glue?

rubber cement will also work but takes a bit to dry. sometimes I'll use liquid cement to just tack stuff together just use it sparingly and in a spot that you can easily repair if needed .

I use Microscale Micro Liquitape for mocking up. It's a white liquid you apply to both parts and makes a nice bond that can even be taken apart and put back together. It all washes off with water. A quote on the bottle says "A tacky adhesive for temporarily joining most modeling materials".
Here's a link to it at the BMF site. It's at the bottom of the page.

I second Chuck. Super glue is ideal as it's a very brittle bond and doesn't chemically attack the plastic. Tiny amounts only though.

Aleen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue is what I've been using for mockups and temporary attachments. It is water based, and thicker than regular white glue. It dries in about 10 minutes or so, but I usually leave it overnight.

Oh nice to see someone has tried the liquid tape. I'm going to have to grab some of that.

I'm with the blue poster tac that you can get about everywhere.

I also keep an egg of silly puddy for the same job as well as masking complex parts for spray painting.
