Eero Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Hello! This time I wan't to introduce you this model that is built based on a real car. My Danish colleaque & friend Jesper Bram owns this C10 pickup. Real car has long bed when Revell kit provides short one. I made parts for longer bed with 3D printing. I used Shapeways to create the parts. Flake for the roof is made with children's party glitter hairspray. Wheels/hubcaps are made from aluminium with lathe. Texts on tires & door logos printed with ALPS. Stickers & detail according to a real thing. I designed also some photoetched parts for this one. Diampnd plated tool box, rear lights, car club sign etc. Mexican blanket is made with regular printer. http://www.riemudesign.com/kuvat/jesper_10.jpg Stickers according to a real thing. http://www.riemudesign.com/kuvat/jesper_11.jpg The real car.
jeffs396 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 That's AWESOME Eero!!! Incredible detail throughout, with different pics it would be hard to tell from the 1:1 Will you be selling the longbed pieces, or can we buy from Shapeways???
Terry Jessee Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Fabulous! That is gorgeous. And 3D printed parts? That's scary. Great job. I love those trucks, and this is very special. Terry
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I need to change underwear... This is sick! I love all the detail you put into this!

Jordan 191 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) On its own it would be incredible, but the fidelity to the 1:1 version is just killer. What a build! Edited December 7, 2013 by Jordan 191
