I'm starting out with the JoHan 68 Fury III convertible going to be a factory stock build. I'm going with bright red from MCW and the black and white interior. The kit came with a Hemi that was not offered in the Fury so I've change it out for a 440 instead. I've also decided that the old chassis needed more detail so I have removed all the molded in drive shaft, exhaust and rear end and replacing them with parts from a 70's Coronet. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated. Here's my progress from yesterday and today.

A Straight Side shot might do better

In all 3 above, it looks like the rear wheels are too far forward,

and too narrow a track for the body.

I have thought about stretching the AMT 68/9 chassis to fit the Jo-Han Fury 4dr sedan body

not cutting molded on detail off.

Looks great, its nice to build something a little different As Dan mentioned , the rear track does look a little narrow. Was the '70 Coronet a Pro Stock chassis ? All you would have to do is widen the rear differential .

Looking sweet...I've got the '65,'66, and '67 Johan Fury ht & convertible kits, but no '68s other than the 4dr and a resin Sport Fury fastback.. love those Johan Mopars.

I only have the sedan

Did you think of using one of those for the front Bench??

or did it look more like the buckets you have??

The convertible came with an all-vinyl notch-back bench standard, so the buckets are the better starting point.

Dan, this is going to be another beauty. I'm looking forward to the end result.

Made some more progress between yesterday and today. I wired the plugs, added fuel line, and throdel spring to the engine. More work on the seat adding and sanding the filler still need to add more filler. Now have the chassis done with the exception on the exhaust at the engine and the tail pipes. I'm thinking of picking up some tubing to make the tail pipes turn to the out sides. Also cleaned my BMF on the trip. I BMF the letters and small trim before painting and then clean off the paint with a damp tooth pick soaked in lacquer thinner I find I works for me. Check it out let me know your comments. Thanks.

Paint looks great and you have made some great progress. Wheels look great and they do not look off in the front but just a little. I would leave it but that's my opinion....

Here are some updates from today. Little more detail on the engine finished the seat with paint added a floor sifter and also the tail pipes that still need to be painted.
