57 Chevy fuel coupe wip Finished 1-9-14

Hey guys. This will be my next wip. Bought the Chevy kit for the body only. Will use the chassis and engine and bits from one of the dragsters in the double dragster kit. Should be fun.

This will be an interesting build. I have always been thinking that Chevy kit would make a nice Funny Car or something like that. Maybe I'll try something similar some day...

I think that body would be killer on a promod frame too with a big block chevy for power rite

Been working on the engine and chassis. The parts need a fair amount of clean up but thats to be expected with a kit this old. I will for sure need to make the chassis wheel base longer.

Made a little progress. In this photo you can see how much difference there is in the wheelbase. I will have to make the dragster chassis about a half inch longer.

I thought the body might be too wide for this build so........................ I decided to narrow it a bit. Too late to turn back now. Gonna need a lot of work and putty. Won't look too pretty underside but you ain't gonna see it anyway. : )

Was able to get a little more done on this wip. I got the body modified to fit the chassis roll bar. I have the chassis just about finished. Still some work to do on the body. Mold lines still need to be removed as well as smoothing out some rough spots.

Personally I like it a lot I would do it like a swirl paint job and call it MISFIT

Made a little more progress. Chasis closer to being done. Did a mock up of body on chassis. Getting closer to paint.
