James2 Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Sorry Jose, working on them in order right now and the Buick comes first. I am looking forward to finishing the truck though!
James2 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Back on the bench, one of the hold ups was how to mount the wheels. But I was able to figure that out last night. After a few more test fits it should be ready for paint.
hjracing Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I'm glad to see an update on this awesome build, I can't wayt to see more!

hjracing Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 wow! This pain scene is really nice, looks like factory colors, I really like it!
REDNECK7109 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Dude That's a baaaaad truck!!! Did you buy those leaf springs in resin or did you make them? This is superb!
James2 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Thanks for the comments everyone. The Yellow is Model train paint and the green is Tamiya Military interior green, both dry flat so I have to clear coat for shine. The suspension is from the link below, I did use different axles though. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-Cast-FORD-Heavy-Duty-4x4-Suspension-for-1-24-1-25-Scale-Models-/231247518705?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item35d76d1bf1
James2 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 How about magnesium wheels, realistic rubber and some clear? Lots more to do with shading, weathering and polishing but at least I'm making progress.
Modlbldr Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 That is looking.great. Nice to see some different color.choices. More of a period correct color scheme than the normal flashy colors. Good job. Later-
slusher Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 You have made some nice progress James. I look forward to your next update...
