Karl LaFong Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I finished the Bantam coupe. Details & in-progress photos can be found here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83989 Revell deserves major kudos for this kit - well engineered and fun to assemble. Would have been nice if they included a fuel pump & non-plated Moon discs, but that's why I have a spare parts box...
cobraman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Looks great. It's a cool little kit isn't it ?
bpletcher55 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 NICE JOB ,I GOT ONE BUT WILL MOST LIKELY USE IT FOR PARTS,
Doctordarryl Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Nice build. What paint did you use? I just released decals for Al Bergler's Aggravation for this kit. I believe that the original Monogram Sizzler kit was heavily influenced by Bergler's dragster. The Slingster is a down-sized version of the old Sizzler kit and now has parts to allow building the Aggravation A/C coupe - except for the decals which Scale Auto Details now has in stock. I will have them listed today on eBay and also my Fotki site. http://public.fotki.com/doctordarryl/scaleautodetails
crazyjim Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Very nice. The Slingster kit is going to be the 2014 FAST build.
Doctordarryl Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Here is a picture of my decals for the La Bergler Aggravation along with a picture of the real car. That's Al Bergler. I wish this posting site had a spell checker!!!!!
Karl LaFong Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Thanks to all for the positive comments! The coupe color is Tamiya Italian Red, the dragster body is Testor's Model Master Metalizer Aluminum.
realgone58 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Wicked cool build. Do the wide white slicks come with the kit?
RatRod Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Fantastic build Keith!!! Love all the engine detail, and six carb set up.
High octane Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Just give the plated Moon disc a couple light coats of Testors Dull-Cote and they'll look fine.
