TheCat Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) Here's my second 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and second model for 2014. Did this one in Orange. Painted the wheels to match the body color. Painted the seats to look like Leather Seats with Black Suade Inserts with a orange stripe. With Gas Monkey front plates. Two Models so far for 2014, I'm getting back into my groove. LOL Edited February 3, 2014 by TheCat
crazyjim Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Looks god in SHINY :) . I like what you did with the wheels.
Tom Geiger Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hey Felix! Very nice model and the irony is that I pulled that one out onto the bench today, along with a new can of Testors One Coat Lacquer in Fiery Orange. Is that your color? I have been groking the kit and looking at 1:1s for reference on eBay Motors. I'm not a big fan of the diamond plate so I was looking at sanding it off.
Chuck Most Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Orange is proving to be a very popular color for this kit. Can't complain there. Love the color keyed wheels, too.

Yup, that's the color I used for this model. For 1:1 reference you can also Google Image "2003 Rubicon" and you would get some nice pictures.
TheCat Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Thank you everyone. This model was so much fun to build that I may build yet another one in the near future, but this time I may make a custom one. Not sure yet on the colors.
TheCat Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Here's photo shot of the chassis detail. I painted the springs yellow.
