Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to look at and comment on this project. Really appreciate the comments on the paint color. I was not sure if I would even like it, but you all have assured me it was a good choice.

Hey BIG NICKEY.... The blower belt came with the kit I got from detail master.

I do have a small update. Worked on the engine last couple nights. If you look at the pics of the engine you'll see the plate I made that goes between the blower and the injector hat. I made the lines that go from the fuel block to the sides of the plate. The wire I used is out of a grab bag of wire I have and have no idea where i got it from. The little so called fittings were cut from a length of plastic necklace from a .25 cent toy machine.

And a couple pics of it on the engine...............

That's it for now, more to come...........

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Have a small update tonight. Been trying to figure out what to do with the dash. Just had to do something to it because I don't think it would ever look anywhere near good just painting it. So this is what I came up with to fix it up a bit.

Went through the parts box and came up with a gauge setup out of a funny car. It has 4 gauges and a tach. The idea I have is to have it somewhat floating on the dash.

Since I wanted the tach to stay with the rest of the gauges, I cut a hole in the dash for the tach to fit through

The bar was trimmed a little here and there. I drilled a hole in the dash and took a piece of rod bent on the end. put it through the hole and pulled it up tight on the dash. The gauge bar was fit to the rod and glued.

And this is what I ended up with. Can't wait to paint this part to cover the yellow!

Thanks for looking and more to come..............

just read thru all 6 pages, wonderfull transformation of this kit! I gotta say, I like the body color [gorgeous on this car], and was a bit alarmed at the engine bay color.............until the body and motor were in there, then it just gelled beautifully.

fantastic work so far, keep at, the honey-do list can wait ;)

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. Got some time in on the dash. Worked on the dash face first. It was cover with a piece of sheet styren to cover the the original gauges. Then it was painted and cleared with the body color. I also added a few detail bits.............

The new gauge package was then painted and the gauges detailed. I taped off the dash face and painted the rest of the dash to match the rest of the interior. The gauges were then mounted to the dash...............

The console top was painted and BMF was added around the outer edges..........

And here is what it looks like...........

Still more work to be done on the interior. More to come.........
