Belugawrx Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Snow's gone? Hilarious... we still have plenty of snow on the ground! And the forecast tonight is for a major blizzard warning... up to 8 inches of snow by tomorrow. Winter isn't quite over yet. Not here, at least. That belongs in "Off topic lounge " "S" Word Harry Just kiddin' Laff We are about to get that system late tonite into tomorrow Again, awesome project!!
peekay Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Stunning. I'm really blown away by your talent. I haven't touched a model for 6 months but this inspires me to get cracking again.
realgone58 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Incredible build! I love the shot of it sitting next to the Mercer. Sure is nice to see a Stutz in a color other than white or bright yellow!
uelder valongo Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Harry, fantastic work. you are a very talent modeler. congrats
Harry P. Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Thanks to all for your comments. It means a lot to me to get so much positive feedback from fellow forum members and fellow modelers. This is what makes the work worthwhile! I don't enter contests, but the positive feedback I've gotten here is worth more to me than any contest trophy.
GeeBee Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 What a stunning model, I've really enjoyed watching this one come together .....
62rebel Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Harry; your work is astounding. like has been said elsewhere, these are almost indistinguishable from the 1:1, imho.
tbill Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 you create some marvelous models, those two are stunning, well done Sir.
Plastheniker Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) A unique model and perfectly executed. Harry, I call this modeling at its best! Edited March 11, 2014 by Plastheniker
vintagercr Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Harry, this is a beautiful build. Should it not be posted in the Big Boys section as it is 1/16 scale. Just wondering?
Mr Stock Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Amazing work....very very nice, you are a talented man Harry
DumpyDan Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Very nicely done, But I do have one question, should this not be in the Big Boyz section. I am only asking because I posted a couple weeks ago on the Work Bench section and I was moved because I was a 1/16. I posted a unfinished model in the work bench section, only because it was unfinished. Just wondering shouldn't a 1/16 be listed in the Big Boyz Section.
kendog261 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I still think its not complete until you put the pin stripe on the wheel's Looks awesome I hope that my skills can be as good as yours someday.
Harry P. Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 To those of you who asked if this shouldn't have been in the "Big Boyz" section... I did post the WIP there, trying to follow forum rules. But as far as where to post the finished product... that's a little fuzzy. The "Under Glass" area doesn't have any scale restrictions, it just says "post your finished models here"... which I did. There are other gray areas of the forum... for example, do finished drag models need to be posted only in the Drag section? Do finished NASCAR models need to be posted only in the NASCAR section? There are plenty of both posted "Under Glass," and that's ok by me. I have said many times that we have some areas of the forum that need to be changed. But as long as we have what we have, there are always going to be those times where a model could conceivably be posted in a couple of different areas.
PappyD340 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Just as I suspected Harry, another masterfully done MASTERPIECE!!
Duntov Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I just love these cars --- you really do them justice!!!
shucky Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Harry, simply a stunning model. Very impressive and thank you for sharing.
om617 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Not really into these really old cars but i think this changed my mind, beautiful model.
Prince Ital Mike Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) As always, I have to watch it over and over again! A museum piece! Edited March 12, 2014 by Prince Ital Mike
sjordan2 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Do you have a PB folder of your building process and Under Glass that I can download?
charlie8575 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Very nice, Harry. I would love to see more brass in production- either reissues or new kits, or both. Charlie Larkin
