Field_Artillery63 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hey guys, was at a guys house two years ago fixing a pump for his pool and he had this in the garage, redone from a rusty body. Glad I still had it on my phone. Thought it was something worth sharing with y'all.
pharoah Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 nice looking car.....except for those wheels Yep. Same here. Getting older...
58 Impala Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The cat looks great. Ditto, don't care for the wheels.
Field_Artillery63 Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 I just picked up a 65 chevy pick up and it had the same wheels but it also has the stock. Being only 24 I'm not really sure what rims you guys had back then, but after some questioning and research, never will I put rims like that on my old models. Everrrr. Lol
pharoah Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Joshua,it's your model and you can build it however you want. big rims look OK on some cars (or trucks). That Ford is a small car to start with, and those wheels are just too big. 16's or 17's would have worked better.
crazyjim Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 The car, including the wheels, look GREAT to me.
Psychographic Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I like the wheels, what I don't like is the sidewalls of the rear tires appears to be a small diameter than that of the front tires.
cobraman Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Add me to the list of one who loves the car but not the wheel selection. Those rubber band skins just do not look right to me. Maybe it's my age.
Field_Artillery63 Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 As for as the tires, it was two years ago but I think the width of the tires were allot wider on the rear.
