Back in the late 60ies and early 70ies the Simca 1000 was a great racing and rally car.

Here's my version 'Simca 1000 RS Racing' with homemade widened fenders and spoiler.

It's fully RC built on a MiniZ

Wheelbase is 94mm, wide is 72mm
Great little racer :)

Could not open the pictures.     Any chance of loading them differently?

I don't think you'll get a response from the OP, Noel.

If you hold your cursor over his signature pic you'll see he hasn't been here in over 9 years.

Yeah that's the trouble with these old posts, cool topics but you can't see the pictures. Oh and almost forgot, the post is probably long dead.

I think I found a couple of die cast Simca 1000  models. A road and rally version, both in 1/24 th scale.

The reason I am looking is because I used to own one back in the Sixties that I tuned up a bit and have a desire to make a model of my old car.

i found mine on spanish ebay. i got it for a friend after we restored the last one sold in scotland a few years back. it back in my possesion now as my friend passed away and I cant decide if i should repaint it red like the one we did. they are very nicely done diecasts and look like they cost more than they do. I think mine was originaly from a magazine series but i could be wrong about that
