Bucket T
Aloha all. I fixed up my 1:1 1971 510 into a BRE 510 tribute car (pic in avatar). Then I built the original issue BRE 510 from 1973. I'm not sure if the new issue will be a straight repop or not. The old kit was partially built, the body was warped, and the 4 wheels would not touch the ground when finished. Oil line tubing was included but was dried out and hard. I had to spray the decals with sealer as they were cracking. The one thing I would have done differently was painting the rear panel white before gluing it to the body. '70 Grande
Excellent rebuild! Your paint and decal work look excellent! I'm really looking forward to the upcoming reissue of this kit; haven't built one of these since the mid-1970's. It'll be good to take another crack at it! Cobrawannabe
Little known fact, though I'm sure you were aware of this: The graphics (stripes) on these cars were painted on by brush!

Daddyfink
Very cool! A car that is dear and near to my heart! I am currently building my 1:1 and hopefully I will build another kit soon as well! And yes, the re-issue appears to be a re-pop of the original again. Wish they would have done the Mike Downs car instead. Oh well! How about a pic of your 1:1?
