Since I've finished the impala It's time to get something done on this. I started with an AMT 49' Mercury and chopped, pie sectioned, and shaved it into what you see here. It will have functioning doors, hood, and decklid and will probably sit on a custom chassis with C6 corvette suspension. Right now I'm thinking about painting it in an emerald green/light gold two tone but that might change.

I like what your doing so far

Nice body work too, real smooth, what did You use on it?

I have been working on a custom myself for awhile.

I am using Squadron Green puttty, sheet plastic and lots of sand paper.

I like your fastback design and the angle on the rear lights.

Is the front grille from a 51 Chevy?

It will be interesting to see the chassis work and tire/rim choice You make.

Thank You for sharing with Us

Thanks Bob!

Russel, thanks, so far I've mainly used sheet plastic, fiberglass cloth, 2 part bondo spot putty, and LOTS of super glue. and the Primer is Nason Select Prime 2K airbrushed on. I believe the grill came from a Revell 49' Mercury kit.
