Paint brushes and a subscription to Super Rod Magazine. Plus before Christmas I bought myself several Tamiya kits on E-bay and LHS. Santa forgot my paint booth though.
Guest Davkin Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I didn't get any model kits, but that's okay, I have plenty and I buy myself what I want all the time anyway. I did receive three modeling tools, more for diorama building than model car building; Miter-rite, Duplicutter II and Tru-Sander. Other than the modeling stuff the other cool stuff I got was the "Dale" 5 disc DVD set, and a very nice pnuematic impact wrench. David

ismaelg Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Merry Christmas everybody! I'm out of town visiting with family so not much online time. Among many other things like tools and Corvette calendars, my sister got me a reference grail I've been looking for years! Noland Adams Corvette: American Legend book #4: 1957 Fuel injection / 283 V-8 I've been trying to get this book ever since I started working on the SS years ago. Now I can continue working on the SR-2! Tons of reference material including detailed descriptions, pictures, diagrams etc! Definitely a grail in my library! Thanks,
Raul_Perez Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Thanks Dad! The Makita piece isn't for model building but I will have no problem finding uses for it! I bought the Dremel Stylus about a year ago. It is the greatest little tool for modeling I've ever used!! Small, lightweight and incredibly powerful for its size!!
bigphoto Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I got cash so it fits just right and I can get what I want as everyone is afraid to get me anything for my hobby as they have no clue what I arlready have!!
Guest roadkill2525 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I got more stuff, got a Canon A570-IS camera, a 1GB card for the camera, Eagles complete collection, Rolling Stones Forty Licks, Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck Dictionary 2, more gift cards, a motor tool, and a Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon shirt that actually fits.
MoparMarc Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 This was my only Christmas present this year from my wife, oldest daughter Brandie and her boyfriend Steven. From what I am told, my wife came up with the idea and Brandie and Steven built it for me over the last few months. This is the best Christmas present I have received in a long time. They really caught me off guard with this am I'm tickled to death over it. They said they got behind and the roof was just built today before they brought it over to me so it needs some work but this is a great start. Here is a picture of it, I will post more in the Diorama section.
Tom Kren Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Santa brought me 2 revell kits the 55 ht and the 65 chevelle z16 kit super glue,BMF some airbrush stuff and a G.C. to my LHS for plus $$ from others I guess i was good this year!
RatRod Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I got some nice sweats, the new Revell 1/24 '30 woody, and a BIG T from my wife!!! I also ended up with someones dishonesty as a gift from my son.....I got a Hotwheels 1/18 pro touring Camaro that someone spent a lot of time & effort installing in a Jada hobby edition BTM box!!! That was the funniest and best gift by far!!!
ABC Auto Industry Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I got an AMT/Ertl Chevy Bison kit. I also gave my dad an AMT-Ertl '97 Ford F-150 and an AMT-Ertl Chevy S-10.
Andy Wyatt Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Only got one kit, from a girl at work...a Tamiya Toyota Celica. Not exactly my thing but I'll build it. Also got a big coffee table-sized book on Hammer Studios ( I can't get enough Hammer horror!) and a Hammer dvd. Some tools and other stuff. My oldest son was saving his money for an electric guitar which we bought him so he spent his money on a new IPod and I got his old one. It only holds 500 songs so he had to upgrade. I didn't even know there were 500 songs! His new one holds like 16,000.
Raul_Perez Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I got another Revell 49 Merc and the new Revell 55 Chevy HT!! I also got the Danbury Mint Hirohata Merc!! What a beauty!! I want to get started on the Chevy pretty soon...maybe I can have an "out of box" version done for the NNL West!!!
