Duntov Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 These were very cool cars in 1:1 form and you really captured the look with your build ---- nice!!!
ChrisBcritter Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 What a magnificent job! Those colors really set it off. The only after market parts are a set of Modelhaus stock hub caps, (not sure if the kit even had them originally) No, it didn't; I believe the Edsel, Buick and Pontiac were the ones with the generic wheelcovers that year, and the Ford and Chevy had correct ones. Luckily the promo wheels were correct on the Pontiac and Buick; only the Edsel missed out.
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 That was my assumption Chris. I figured there must be a reason that I had never seen a '58 Pontiac or Buick kit with factory caps from the kit. Always those ugly 3 bar spinner things. Steve
disabled modeler Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Stunning work and I love the color combo!
Harry P. Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Man, that is really impressive! Your chrome is practically flawless. Is it foil?
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 All but the bumpers & such Amere. That's all been rechromed by "Chrome Tech USA". Steve
Sixties Sam Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Great looking Pontiac! I'm glad you finally built it! The colors are great - very 50's-ish and just right! Nice work! Sam
