slusher Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Rob what brand and number is your olive drab. I like the shade and will be needing a couple cans...
Jantrix Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 It's just Krylon Italian Olive. I used it for this too.
rustybill1960 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Very Cool Build Thank You for sharing Later Russ
Jantrix Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys, very much. I hope to get a LOT done this weekend. BTW guys, I'm looking for ideas for a personalized plate for this one. Any brainstorms you might have would be appreciated. Edited May 29, 2014 by Jantrix
GLMFAA1 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 The hood should be anti glare black to fit the plane motif, lic. suggestion '12 0CLK HI' greg
Jantrix Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 The hood should be anti glare black to fit the plane motif, lic. suggestion '12 0CLK HI' greg Greg. GREAT plate suggestion! Likely a winner. I realize the silver hood isn't quite as appropriate as flat black, but I didn't want just another muscle car with a black hood.
Jantrix Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Interior work. Very simple. No frills. The kit interior is pretty lousy anyway, so decided not to sweat it too much. The body has had a coat of flat clear to blend in the decals and frankly, it looks awesome. I'll do one more mock up shot tomorrow and then the next time you see it will be under glass.
BKcustoms Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Wow, don't know how I missed this one! Awesome work Rob! I can't wait to see it finished up.
mod3l Lover Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I like it a bunch. I'm a big gasser fan, so that's a world of anything goes when it comes to motors for sure! David S.
Jantrix Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Thanks very much guys. Here's the final teaser. This will be under glass the next time you see it.
Jantrix Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 I've decided to add some bomber-type nose art just forward of the front wheel arch. Still looking for an image that will reduce well. Pics soon.
slusher Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I've decided to add some bomber-type nose art just forward of the front wheel arch. Still looking for an image that will reduce well. Pics soon. That will be a nice touch Rob...
