DeeCee Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 It is a great feeling sitting there working on your hobby with your kids doing the same thing. But as they get older they start to show you up though.
Craig Irwin Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I built models with all three of my children, and now build with my two grandkids, Lord willing I'll someday build with my great-grandkids. Have fun!
Craig Irwin Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 It is a great feeling sitting there working on your hobby with your kids doing the same thing. But as they get older they start to show you up though. My son has had models in the SA contest annual, I haven't.
rockin562 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Thanks guys. And if she sticks with building them then that just means I have to step up my work. Lol. But my main thing I want her to learn is no matter what just have fun with it. Its only plastic.
Rossa156 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Have fun Dad! I built models with my son and daughter AND Grankids!! Such fun to see their excitement and enthusiasm. Rossa156
cobraman Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I remember doing that with my daughter in her younger days. Enjoy it while you can because it doesn't last all that long unfortunatly. The good news is that you can move on and enjoy other things and hobbies. Have fun !
DrKerry Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Very kool, do keep us posted on it. That's awesome taking time with your child!!!!
rockin562 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Thanks guys and I will keep u guys posted. Trying to show her how to pay attention to the details. And going to give her a crash course on how to use a airbrush soon.
Tom Geiger Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Go for it. There's nothing better than time spent with your daughter. She will remember the experience and the attention you gave her for the rest of her life. I built with both of my daughters, who loved the craft process of painting and assembling. I suspect that having dad's full attention was more important. And a word of advise... do it now. They grow up way too fast. The little girl in this photo is now 30. Seems like yesterday...
BIG NICKY Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 They grow up way too fast. The little girl in this photo is now 30. Seems like yesterday... geeez look at the wall of models you had then lol.... but to get back on subject...cant wait to see the updates, it should definitely be fun
PappyD340 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 It's time well spent Matthew, nothing like quality time with your children no matter what your doing, so hang in there dad and have fun with your daughter you will never regret it and have lasting memories to boot!!
rockin562 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Well not much of a update but she has the engine halfs together and painted. This kid is alot better with spray paint then I was for the first time.
