om617 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) My attempt at giving the old Monogram GTO new life. Sorry about the pic quality. Paint is Tamiya, both base and clear. Engine is 604cid Milodon w auto from VCG Resin. Fujimi wing with carbon, hard to see with the bad quality pics. The same carbon is used on the headlight covers/grill. Added chin spoiler from parts box, same with seats, gear linkage and steeringwheel. Wheels are Aoshima. Brakes are Brembo from "Forward Resin" on Ebay. Instruments, clamps etc are detail master. I could not find any decent mirrors i liked, will add later on. Any thoughts are welcome. Edited May 11, 2014 by om617
Rusty Sierra Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Awesome! I know most people will not agree but I really dig the rear spoiler.
donb Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Not crazy about the rear spoiler but the rest of the car is bad A$$!
Sport Suburban Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I too like everything but the rear spoiler. I really like the headlight covers. Nice job!
peter31a Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Very cool ProTouring looking car! While I understand some of the dislike for the rear spoiler, I think it ties in well with the ProTouring theme. Kudos!
slusher Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Super nice build Tommy. Very nice touch on the grill. Very nice work...
om617 Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Thanks. The spoiler is maby to much, but was not intended only for show.
TheCat Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 looks great. I think the rear spoiler looks ok on the ProTouring scheme you have going.
Jantrix Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I like it! I have something similar planned for the same kit!
om617 Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Thanks all for the comments. Should maby try take new pics with more natural lights.
