cruz Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Featured in the January 2014 Model Cars Mag. Used the resin engine from Historic Racing Miniatures which is the correct one for this kit. Also used the KA-Models 250 TR Detail Up P/E set for the various details around the body, engine and interior. Rims and tires are from the Hasegawa Spoke Wheel Set. Decals are Cartograph. Paint is Tamiya Pure White, wet sanded, polished and waxed w/o clear. A very cool kit! One more pic...
meaneyme Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Magnificent build as usual my friend. Read the article and it's great, love the idea behind the tubing on the seats!

edward smith Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Congrats on a great article, loved the details on the engine and interior. I just purchased the Hasegawa rims for my kit, what did you do to get them to look like that?
cruz Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Thanks guys. Edward, the Hasegawa wheel/tire set is a little to "chromy" for this type of car. You need to remove the chrome from the sleeves and also sand down the P/E wire wheels with a 3200 grit sanding cloth. Use Self-Etching primer for the P/E wire wheels and regular primer for the sleeves before adding any paint. Go ahead and put them together and once completed, paint them with Tamiya Bare Metal color paint. I decanted my paint from the can and airbrushed it.
fitforbattle Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Wow. The 250 gto is one of my favourite cars of all time, so I haven't really grown into the Testa Rossa, but this model is sharp! Fantastic execution!
mikevillena Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Absolutely stunning work, Marcos! The NART colours are a nice break from the usual rosso. I didn't know that NART used the standard Scuderia badge.
Jaguar man 21 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Amazing cruz I enjoyed seeing this build in real life it's amazing
