Nick Winter Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Tamiya kit, went together pretty well, I'm pleased with the outcome. Nick
charlie8575 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Looks good, Nick. I have one of those I'm going to get to at some point. I'm planning on mine being blue with a tan interior- always liked that combo on Jeeps. Charlie Larkin
TooOld Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Looks great Nick ! The orange looks good with all of the black trim . I'm not familiar with these vehicles . . . but that's got to be the biggest windshield washer reservoir I've ever seen !
JTalmage Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Cool I need to find one of these! I had a '95 with the 5.2 and the crazy looking tunnel port type intake, almost looked like an old supercharger but without all the cool noises haha! Mine was light driftwood metallic with tan interior... man that thing would go, and go anywhere.
Nick Winter Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Thanks everyone it was a fun and different project, however the 21 year old decals were a chore and a half, I did what I could with them. Looks good, Nick. I have one of those I'm going to get to at some point. I'm planning on mine being blue with a tan interior- always liked that combo on Jeeps. Charlie Larkin I debated colors until I chose the red. Looks great Nick ! The orange looks good with all of the black trim . I'm not familiar with these vehicles . . . but that's got to be the biggest windshield washer reservoir I've ever seen ! it's actually red and the far reservoir in the back is coolant overflow, it's green, but my photography messed up both !
Chuck Most Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I've got two of these (plus a 1:20 Lindberg MSP kit), and they're probably the best North American subjects Tamiya ever did. One of these days I want to do one as a Grand Wagoneer- fake wood paneling and all.
peekay Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 VERY nicely built - all that black detailing is so cleanly done.
Nick Winter Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 Thanks Guys, its a nice kit, very well engineered
