AZ Boy Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 (edited) This one took a weird journey to it's completion today. The chassis was completed about five years ago, but the body had all sorts of problems all related to the paint and clear coat. A special thanks to my bud, Tom Neu for donating another Grand Am body for the cause. Hope you like. Questions and comments are always welcome. Edited May 24, 2014 by AZ Boy
majel Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Aaron, you always do great work and this one is no exception!! Curious as to how it went together and what after market parts you used. I have this in my stash along with the Slixx decals for the black bodied version. Once again great job on this, you got to love the Grand Am, it's so ugly it's cool!!
AZ Boy Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Thanks Jim! Wow, it's been so long, that I can't remember building the chassis. I know I used Detail Master A/N fittings and braided line. I do see some MCG photoetch stuff there too. I scratch-built the fuel tank, and used the tried-and-true body lowering technique that 1320 wayne shared with all of us. Besides those things, it was a fairly straight forward build.
am73grand Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 My favorite drag car of all time!!! Yours came out AMAZING!!! Nice job!!!
