Scottnkat Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This is the Lindberg Chrysler Sebring model kit. It's a curbside snap-together kit. I wanted to build this like my old Sebring that I used to own. I also tried my hand at photo-etching for the first time and I learned a few things. The seat belts are from craft store ribbon and the buckles and latches are my first attempt at photo-etching anything. Overall, I'm pleased with how it came out, though I wish it had been a more detailed kit and I wish my p/e parts came out better. a closeup of the interior the underside showing the four screw locations to hold it all together
Mopar - D Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I find it nice to be able to build our old or current vehicles. Nice build on yours.
TFchronos Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Now there's one you don't see everyday. Super nice and clean build, awesome job on the dash
Speedfreak Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Looks good Scott. I can't see anything wrong with the buckles. I like the color too.
Faust Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Nicely done! I have that kit as well, and like a few others here love to build cars that I see (saw) out on the streets, vs. supercars or classics I never got to see rolling around. You did a great job on it, and I like the idea of ribbon for seatbelts! You made that kit look like a lot more than a knocked-down promo (which it is) for sure!
Harry P. Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 It's nice to see a model of a "regular" car every once in a while.
Sixties Sam Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I built that kit in 2007. I made it into a replica of the 1996 Sebring which I still own. Sam
Tom Geiger Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Nice model! I still want one of those Chrysler convertibles! I keep my eye out for a nice low mile one at a reasonable price. Great summer cruiser.
