Well, I finished my review model of the Trabant Universal. It is a amazingly nice model, it flew together and the decals are great.

There are some minor issues, but nothing not solvable.

I tried to replicate the car that was shown in the Revell presentation at ROG HQ, it isn't exactly, but for me close enough. And I took some liberties, as I had only 1 photo.

This is the original car:

And this is my build of it:

Must have missed the announcement this kit was on the shelves- I knew it was coming. Gotta get one now!

Great job on this one- for some reason it's making me think of an old rally car.

I love that and you did a great build. I hope my LHS can get one in for me, they've been pretty good at getting Revell Germany kits in the past. It would make an excellent addition to my "Cars only an owner would love" collection.

Thanks guys for the complements! Very much appreciated.

@Geoff: nope, it flew together, very nice fit, although strong joint-lines that need clean up. But that's it.

@Michael: The XDX decal came with the decalsheet, which has very nice decals, they are perfect! Extremely close trimmed and go to the car with so much ease and has a very nice gloss.

That's great, thanks for the info!

Very impressive work Eric, looks really nice mate ;) !

The tow bar is interesting, us Aussies would say "That thing couldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding" being a small car  !!

that is fantastic, very nice detail and look. I have the kit already and I think I am going to do something a bit different with it. yours really sets a bar for box stock, looks great!
