tbill Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 thanks all the clear is testors 'ultra gloss' lacquer clear, about 5 coats, wet sanded with 2000 grit, then polished with meguiars 105, then 205 mirror glaze.
microwheel Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) It's looking really nice Tom. Clear coat turned out good Edited July 2, 2014 by microwheel
DeeCee Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 WOW!! that color is so rich, and looks like it has been applied just perfectly, Black side decal contrasts so sweet, and am digging the black/white interior. Very sexy !!!!!
fitforbattle Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Technically, it's on top of glass She's beautiful. Well done.

slusher Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Love this build Tom, now I need to use the same color on one of my mopar kits....
tbill Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Carl, thanks, I have a 70 challenger that I may do in the same color, I think they would look cool side by side.
moparfarmer Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Very nicely done..Sure does shine..One observation though..Hope you don't mind..If you do the Challenger mold the front pan on then make new panel lines like on the real cars..Will make a whole difference..Love your work Very clean and very well done...

I hear ya, I have another of these kits in my stash, and after doing this one, I see where I should have molded the whole front panel into the body, as I am not happy with how it meets the front of the fenders and header panel, or where it meets the lower fenders. so ya, I am on board with you there and thank you for the kind comments, each build is getting better.
426-Hemi Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I've ALWAYS liked this model seems to always go together well, BUT I wish they "Revell" or even Monogram would offer it with something OTHER then the 426 Hemi....Don't get me wrong I love the Hemi.... I just think this particular model could stand a different power plant....
tbill Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Did you do anything to the stance of the car? nope, straight out of the box.
mustang1989 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 That's a nice looking Cuda Tom! Where'd you get the paint?
tbill Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Joe, it's testors 'panther pink' lacquer, in a rattle can. got it from my local hobby lobby.
