Mopar - D Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 This is the only kit I still have from back when I was young building I build the green one in 1970. The new build has lemon twist with a black and white interior. I changed out the chassis with the AMT 68 road runner chassis.
slusher Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Excellent build Dan, love the color choices. Your green roadrunner looks really nice and 44 years old...
caine440 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Great work, I oned one and you build is very nice indeed.
DeeCee Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Nice pair of Mopars mate, lots of great detail on the yellow one especially.
Chris White Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) wow so nice, you've got a great pair Edited July 1, 2014 by Chris White
Bob Ellis Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 So, one is the regular Johan chassis, and the other is the upgraded ERTL/AMT chassis? They both look great but that new chassis really makes the model.
DumpyDan Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Sweet, this is a very nice looking road runner, and that yellow................WOW!
Mopar - D Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Thanks for the comments. Bob the green one I built 44 years ago with most of the original parts except for the wheels. Dan nothing like MOPAR high impact colors.
tbill Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 nice pair! the yellow one is superb, excellent work on that, just beautiful.
Bob Ellis Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 It's nice you can restore an old model you built years ago.
Mopar - D Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Thanks Tom Bob the only thing I've done to the 44 year old build was to clean the dust off it.
Bob Ellis Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Wow, built 44 years ago. I don't have anything built and untouched that many years old. This inspires me of a new thread........
