hookedonplastics Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 My uncle was president of The Hudson Club of America for quite some time, so I have been around Hudsons most of my life. I have to say, you nailed the details and colors! Fantastic job!
W-409 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 W-409 i thin the Tamiya acrylics with regular lacquer thinner. Works and sprays great. The Tamiya paints are unique acrylics that can be thinned with everything from lacquer thinner to iso alcohol and their own x-20a thinner. Thanks for the information! I'll give those a try.
Mr Stock Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 That is just superb Jason, I have this kit and if I can get it half as good as this Id be happy, love the detail and the colour choice.
khier Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Did you clear coat the paint? If yes, what did you use? Tamiya acrylic? Thanks
Mach1revo Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Khier , yes it is cleared with Dupont 7480s acrylic clear. The Tamiya color is acrylic airbrushed thinned with lacquer thinner. Thanks
peekay Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 One of the nicest Hudsons so far. Great colours and built with finesse. Wonderful!
David G. Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Excellent color choice- very well done! David G.
Lownslow Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Moebius Hudson Hornet. Just about done. Just needs final cleaning and radio antenna installed. Had to make a new one. Paint is Tamiya xf-21 Sky and xf-2 white. Dupont clear. Interior is Testors enamel flat green and Tamiya xf-2 white. All the chrome is Alclad and trim is BMF. that color combo is insane
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I love it when someone's model makes me stop and just say "wow". Wow !
Maxicoop Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 fantastic detail, beautiful colors !!!!!!! superb build......
