Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Not so old. But I really love this one. AMT 1962 Buick Electra 225 Round 2 reissue. Paint is Tamiya TS-14 Black from the spray can. All lettering was foiled before painting, and then the paint was locally polished until the chrome letters would show trough. The side trim on this car is a real pain on the rear end to foil... 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
TFchronos Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) Wow, nice and shiny, just the way I like them. Very nicely done. Edited July 25, 2014 by TFchronos
bbowser Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Big 'ol deuce-and-a-quarter looks good in black. Great work.
Lunajammer Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) That single piece chassis is amazing. Proof again that clean, well detailed box stock builds and kits with low parts count can be every bit as impressive as one with aftermarket parts added. Beginners take note. This is great Tulio. Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 Thanks guys!! I had posted this one when I had just finished her, but I'm in a "nostalig" phase Yes, it is all box stock. The detail is just paint.
Danno Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Stunning! Probably the only '62 Buick I've ever seen done absolutely right! Great job!
dino246gt Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Wow, that is nice! Those photos are crisp too! Yes those old kits can look fantastic with a good clean build, that one sure does!
unclescott58 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 (edited) OK. We've known for a while now that you can and like to build great looking Fords. Then you start showing us you can build great looking Chevys too. But now, you build great looking Buicks too? I'm always impress with your work. It's just really nice to see that you do more than just Fords. Scott Edited July 28, 2014 by unclescott58
rmvw guy Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I like the way you did all the lettering, great tip Tulio. Thanks for sharing an outstanding model.
Duntov Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 This is one of the nicer stock build nail heads I have seen in quite awhile ---- Love these stock builds ---
drifterdon Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Another stunner from Tulio. How did you get the 'Buick' and 'Electra 225' so clean and shiny? I'd swear I was looking at a photo of the real car. Amazing!
