southpier Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 coming to grips with the conclusion 99% of "irks" are first world problems and don't mean doodily in the grand scheme.
Danno Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 coming to grips with the conclusion 99% of "irks" are first world problems and don't mean doodily in the grand scheme. In whose 'grand scheme' do '1st world problems' mean nothing?
chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 So that offer for $175 on my Atari games fell through, but someone in Germany offered me $115 plus shipping costs. I decided to go with it. All-in, with shipping and insurance, I think it should be around $160... The guy gets a bargain, and I get $115 in pure profit!
southpier Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 In whose 'grand scheme' do '1st world problems' mean nothing? mine. why?
High octane Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 $115 in pure profit? What happened to the games worth $190 - $200?
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) coming to grips with the conclusion 99% of "irks" are first world problems and don't mean doodily in the grand scheme. Individual's problems don't mean diddly in the grand scheme of things anyway, no matter if first or third world...unless the individual happens to be an actual Einstein or Salk or brother Wright. Then everybody loses. But I kinda think the 3rd world just might be having a tiny bit harder time of things if it weren't for the first world, ya know? Maybe too little, too inefficiently delivered, too late, but what medical and monetary aid goes to those 'developing' areas comes from the the developed 'first world'. chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) $115 in pure profit? What happened to the games worth $190 - $200?They're worth it but I can't get it. Tried eBay, and multiple Atari forums. I got the games for free, so it's $115 in profit for me. I could get that much if I really tried, but I don't feel up to it, and I'd like some money now to put towards a vehicle or something. Edited December 29, 2014 by chunkypeanutbutter
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 $115 in pure profit? What happened to the games worth $190 - $200? If he paid $0 for it, which I believe is the case, then whatever he makes is pure profit.
