Rob Hall Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) No problem...my reply was a bit terse, was typed on my phone...love these kits, looking forward to what comes in the future.. Edited January 5, 2016 by Rob Hall
Olskoolrodder Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 No worries, didn't take it as terse or rude or anything, was feeling embarrassed for not having read everything before I replied,LOL
leafsprings Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 yes, I have that on preorder, mentioned in the first line of my post. I was speculating on what they may do after that.... Me too, I always thought the '70 grill was one of the best. Chevy must have liked it too, they used a very similar egg crate on '71 pickups. How about an F 350 with a correct period wrecker body?. This would be a winner for Moebuis!
Rob Hall Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 A wrecker would be neat..or another service body... or a step side. I really want to see a crew cab, but I figure the aftermarket will do one eventually..
Nova-ss Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I as well want a crewcab version and 4 wheel drive too.in both 250 and 350.I guess we wait and see...I can hope.......Chris

If you source the Midnite Cowboy kit, you can build the truck in the picture with the wrecker bed from that kit and the Moebius pickup.
gtx6970 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) I see the 1970 that's coming is a short bed. What other version do I , or will I need to do a 1970 long bed ? I want to do the truck used in Funnycar summer , I think its a 1970 Long bed F250 camper special with a low profile camper shell on it Is there a source for the 8 lug 16.5 wheels and tires and the small hubcapsHow about the camper cap Edited March 16, 2016 by gtx6970

Danny at Scenes Unlimited is casting 8 lug wheels, might have the hub caps too.
gtx6970 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 After some more digging. I figured out the truck I want to replicate is actually a 1971,So while I was out this afternoon. Hit my local hobby shop and snagged the only one he had on the shelf . Now, I need to find the wheels / hubcaps and a camper shell to fit it

Is the midnight cowboy wrecker body the correct length for a 1 ton? It seems a little short or it may be my eyes.

The wrecker bed is close enough to the correct length, although if you wanted to create your own bed it wouldn't be hard to do.
Dave Van Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Kits have landed.....get them while you can......will be at dist Monday. thx
Whelen36 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Dave, there were picks of the kit parts that showed 4x4 gear, these kits that are coming are all 2 wheel drive. How many more versions are coming after these if there are in fact 4x4 versions of these excellent kits??after the fords do they think they're going to do other makes of trucks like GM or Dodge ??
Dave Van Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I don't know the exact schedule for production of the different version.....and would get in trouble for sharing if I did!!!!I can say there are many version down the road.....and some are ground breaking in scale kit world. This new P/U is a limited run.....then the next version will be scheduled. Thx
Badluck 13 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I really Really love these kits and so happy to see different years, versions etc. I for one was very thrilled to see the 240 six cylinder/3sp being done, there is just unlimited things you can do to these kits , but hate to beat a dead horse,I just wish somebody could master and sell a better grille for the '69.
mikemodeler Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I saw on the Stevens International page that they have a 72 F-100 listed as "TBA". I wonder if this will be the long awaited 4WD version or another 2WD?I guess we will find out eventually!
Fabrux Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 A guy on Facebook is working on crew cabs now. https://www.facebook.com/groups/207902202725749/HARRY HAULER BUILD!!!Although, if that cover photo is what his cab is looking like, the rear doors are a tad short.
Travis T Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 The cover photo is one someone else built, the guy that runs the group has been working on a resin crew cab for a while though.
chitownbri Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Some good news in regards to the '70 f-100 kits; the molds for the body parts have beenpolished out so no more grainy sand blasted texture. Thank you Moebius!
Rob Hall Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Got the '70 yesterday...yes, polished, shiny molds. Content appears much the same as the '69 at first glance, short bed, 6 cyl, steelies w/ dds, but w/ the 70 grille and the chrome rear bumper.
Badluck 13 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) ...Got my '70 yesterday as well and as said by Brian and Rob nice polished molds and the '70 grille looks more correct/scale compared to the '69 .. Edited March 25, 2016 by Badluck 13
Travis T Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Looks like the 72 Sport Custom is a short bed with a small block Ford (302). I was hoping for a long bed with an SBF to build my dad's truck, looks like I have to buy another 71 but at least we have a different engine.http://www.clubmoebius.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1220
mikemodeler Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I wonder if that means the yet to be released but obvious 1968 model will be the long awaited 4wd version? If so, which engine and bed configuration will it be?
