Dave Van Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I wonder how many advance kits of the short bed 69 F-100 are out there, & who do you have to know to get on THAT list....:-) If you can't find a seller of that version....let me know.....I know the hook up!!!
DrKerry Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I wonder how many advance kits of the short bed 69 F-100 are out there, & who do you have to know to get on THAT list....:-) Wondering the same as for the 68 F-100 Ranger styled grille and such!!!!!!
mk11 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 You'll find the '69 grill in scale to be identical to the '68, Kerry. The only difference in the 1:1, as you probably know, is a fine line stamped into the main horizontal cross bar on the '69; oh, and the 'coon eyes', black trimmed headlite doors on the '69 Ranger Otherwise, there are no physical exterior differences between the two. mike
Fat Brian Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I just put two of the 69s on preorder from Model Roundup and there was nothing hinting at a shortage.
AzTom Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) My 1:1 1969 had a "Ranger" emblem in the center of the grill. Does anyone know if any of the kits will have the Ranger package? Corrected, My Ranger was a 68. The first one I had was a 6 cylinder and I think it was a 67. Edited May 20, 2015 by AzTom
Rob Hall Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) My 1:1 1969 had a "Ranger" emblem in the center of the grill. Does anyone know if any of the kits will have the Ranger package? Not the first two kits..the '71 is a Ranger XLT, but they didn't have the grill emblem then. The '69 is a base Custom trim level, I believe. Who knows what they will follow up these with.. AzTom Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Thanks Rob, I'm sure I'll get at least one of each kit anyway.
DrKerry Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Thanks for the info Mike, appreciate it... Tom, mine to has the Ranger emblem.... I know I'll be getting a few of these when they come out. Cannot wait!!!!!!!!!
thatz4u Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Pity the hobby shop employee when this kit is on the shelves, they may be injured in the stampede...
Brett Barrow Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Give it a week or two. They're close. Late June is a conservative estimate. Early to mid is more likely.
Davewilly Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Take what ever time they need.....If they are right and fit great and have great detail....it will be worth the couple extra weeks delay.
SCI-FI Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Take what ever time they need.....If they are right and fit great and have great detail....it will be worth the couple extra weeks delay. Amen.
thatz4u Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) They have it right & the fit is great, I just would like to grab a few, at my age I don't buy green bananas....LOL. :-) Edited May 29, 2015 by thatz4u
mikemodeler Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 just heard a rumor, within a week or two.... Brett posted that a couple of days ago Al. Like you, I am anxious to build this kit and many variants! I am hopeful that the 4wd version will be available soon too. Life is good!
