SpitShineTommy Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Hey Richard, what do you use to shrink your pictures to print? i have been using MS paint, and im not getting great results. thanks
crazyrichard Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) adobe photoshop .. you can resize them perfect .. but and thats the key dont print them from your pc folders but when its opened in photoshop print it from there so inside the program you can select print and then its always the size you made it .. but that works for 1 picture .. weird thing is when i make a a4 size sheet and put it full of copyed logos that are resized ... they are not the correct size .. so that loo or thing i can print in the right size on its own but when i copy the correctly sized thing and paste it on a white a4 sized sheet and then print it its wrong .. i found the solution .. i have put a sign on a a4 sized sheet and i know roughly what size that is and when i want to print out a lot of things at ounce ... i just do it on sight and i know how bog they will become (roughly) because the one logo i have on there is always my guideline .. but when i want to print something exaclty a certain size i just print one logo at ounce .. i know my photoshop is to blaim i have had more weirdness but it works for me so.. today i got into details again ..... printed a flyer from dragraces and a small folder from a car and put it on top of the pc screen all readable on the counter i put a large postersize flyer of car races and a moon sticker in the corner on tha glass the tin weiand sign hotrod oil sign next to the rolling door Edited December 11, 2014 by crazyrichard
gasser59 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Looks great Richard. You'll need a cash register so you can take all that money from all of your customers..
crazyrichard Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 hmm well been thinkign about that but its not your average garage more a custom and rod shop .. maintenance but mainly project building .. so i think a cash register wont fit that theme ... if i had the space i would make a safe like a old fire proof safe haha
SpitShineTommy Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 thanks for the info. great work btw.

Jantrix Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 All of those look right at home in there. Yep, what he said!
chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Just popped in to say I found your hot rod garage diorama and I nearly had a heart attack...
crazyrichard Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 lol i hope your fine ? .. thnx a lot guys
crazyrichard Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 i made and added a > genius at work sign .. i thought a less serious sign would be cool again .. changed the sign next to the rolling door , this one makes it more serious , the hotrod oil sign was a bit to corny ... in the trashcan at the bech i added a creased flyer of a indian cycle event overall dio in good lighting 2 shots with the a ford in good lighting so you can seeall the details about half way done i recon ... still need to make so much > fire extinguishers , watercooler , chairs , tools and more garage related things .. and more ...
crazyrichard Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 since its freezing outside i needed to start on some heating (lol) looked at some old reznor haters and started my own fantasy version somewhat similair to the reznors without copying it exactly used a plastic box , with a old window blind plastic plate glued on top in a v shape so it fits in the corner ..... the pipe in the corner i already glued in .. its gassline then sawes in some lines and scribed them to make like loose panels glued in a smaller box below and added a front , its made from boxes used in a lab for testing or something like that .. its a very weird type of plastic opened the front to later add movable lamels to direct the heat .. made a upper edge in the hole from a old plastic rails thingy pipe for the gass .. and a smoke outlet a round thing to make it more real very loose test fit ..its hanging on the black straw so not sitting right
crazyrichard Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 the matte green was dry enough so i painted the gass inlet copper and made a reznor logo in photoshop then magic .. the paint is army green (rattle can) i knew what this does with some clear , the tone changes more to green and it always looks soo deep , only gave it one coat and that will be a tad less shiney after drying .. doesnt need to shine too much when thats dry tomorrow i will wash the pannellines with black
gasser59 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Finally some heat around here. That's much better. LOL Looks great Richard. Your attention to the details is spot on.
crazyrichard Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 thnx brad .. i will also add a tumbler with chains hanging down to operaate and change the position of the shutters .. a guy gave me that idea he werked in the heating buisness
crazyrichard Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 used a chain of 0,5mm and made a tumbler to change the position of the shutters on some pics it looks big but thats the close up put the heater on the wall , the hole next to it was originally ment to be the smoke outlet ... that was not thought through so i changed it into a fresh air vent .. real mesh inside and you can see through .. the smoke outlet pipe is just loose and rough .. that needs work , will be silver with brakets to the wall supporting it the tumbler and chain on looks real big but thats really the close up picture to fix the chains i glued them on a small metal pin so its like hung on the wall and can be slided off to work the shutters what i ment on a normal distance and how you would see it irl . it looks normal (chain size) now betetr pics will follow when i finished the smoke pipe
Pim Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 getting better all the time Richard I have also added a heater to mine but it is wood fired cant wait for more progress from this
crazyrichard Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 thnx here are some better shots in "daylight" (weather is bad) the smoke gass pipe isnt done that needs work
crazyjim Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Dio is coming along just great. I must say, your yard is FANTASTIC and would love to see more pics of it.
southpier Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 mind that chain getting wrapped in the press, mate.
crazyrichard Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 thnx guys and joe thats why its hung on a pin enough distance i think hihi pipes are done , silver , made a brass bracket and a brass pin from the wall to the bracket .. some coverplates .. and jim thnx maybe i can dig up some pics and post them somewhere
