exesivefire Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 thanks guys, its Tamiya paint. getting the interior in order. Still cant decide what color to paint the cage... thinking the wheel color maybe?
Devilsnake98 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Oh man you had me til the tan interior. In 1:1 scale the tan interiors in the foxes are just awful. You've done nice work but no good on the color choice, just my opinion though so don't take it to heart.
exesivefire Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 Well it's really the best option for the green.. It will work out don't worry
blackandwhite Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 did you use solder or styrene for the IC piping I love checking in on this build
exesivefire Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 did you use solder or styrene for the IC piping I love checking in on this build Used solder, found it in the plumbing section at home depot
exesivefire Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 Major parts of the interior are done. Used a pop can to make the gauge panel and the radio delete. Used a pin head for the shifter knob. set of scale dreams resin Reccaros for the seats, painted to match. went with gold for the cage, Its fun putting this all together. apparently its tight in there, tight enough in fact I had to ditch the center console. Mounted the shifter and ebrake to the floor. Ran a cable from the ebrake too. sneak peak at the paint. Have to wetsand and spray a final coat yet, might try tamiyas semi gloss clear after I do the trim..
Devilsnake98 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) Nice work on the dash and those seats are awesome, I just looked up scale dreams and looks like there site has been pulled? How long ago did you get the seats? The color on the body looks cool too. That'll be sweet with the stripe on the hood. Edited October 24, 2014 by Devilsnake98
Outlaw_Pitbull_0411 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 You should do a step-by-step on building the turbo

Tarkmucker Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Looking good. I'm excited, I'd drive it if it were 1:1
exesivefire Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 made a quick release hub and found an appropriate steering wheel in my parts stash.
exesivefire Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 and got the trim painted. I think I'm getting close to mounting the body for good.

johnbuzzed Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 That is really nice and clean; plenty of detail added without a bunch of clutter. Have you considered a thin, black wash in the dash AC vents and speaker grilles?
