Mine too. And one of my favorite bands.

REM? Do you have their early album Hindu Love Gods? It's all covers, but a few of them are pretty cool, such as Prince's Raspberry Beret.

Look at that mama, she got it stickin' in the camera

Man we could have some fun. And he's up there, what's that? Hawaiian noises?

No, I don't have that one. Murmur is the first of theirs that I have.

Edit: I looked up "Hindu Love Gods," it wasn't one of their early albums. Their first album ("Murmur") came out in 1983, HLG came out in 1990. And it technically wasn't a "real" REM album, but a side project with Mills, Buck, and Berry with Warren Zevon. I'll have to check out some of the songs on youtube. It sounds interesting!

I cheated on this one so I won't say. At first I thought it was "Trouble Me" by 10,000 Maniacs, but alas, no.

You got it. B)

Zevon does all the singing. The REM guys were basically his backup band. The only thing on it I REALLY like is Raspberry Beret, but I can stand to listen to Battleship Chains and One Woman Man, too. The rest of it, not so much.

I'm not that big an REM fan, but I like Stand a whole lot. Wish I had that, but not enough to go buy a whole CD for it.

PM me your email address and I can send you Raspberry Beret. Hindu Love Gods is the only Zevon CD I don't have (have it on cassette) but RB was on his box set I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, so I have that one HLG song on the computer.

Wasn't Della and the dealer his biggest song.? I know he did acting also he was the sheriff in buried alive..

That was probably his biggest hit as a solo artist, but he also wrote "The Pusher", which was a pretty big hit for Steppenwolf

precious and few - climax

Correct! The guy that sang that also sang "Time Won't Let Me"
