I always get something wrong lately.

I have back pain, neck pain, bad memory, can't type very well anymore, bad eyesight occasionally...

I'm middle-aged at 16. :D

Well I think it's great that you are into some good older music

I just saw BOC play last August at a free concert in a park

Probably my favorite Warren Zevon song. Either that or Turbulence. Both from the same album (but you knew that!)... :D

IMHO best song on that album is Down in the Mall...which is of course basically a rework of Springsteen's Cadillac Ranch. B)

Just sent you a nice live solo 12-string version of it B)

His voice is kind of buried in that recording, but still cool.

I have had a long-standing personal rule... any song that has a harmonica part in it is a good song. My rule has held true for me about 99% of the time... B)

See, I can either put up a song that NOBODY knows, or ones that get answered like *bang!*

And I just reminded myself, time for the nightly No Doubt record spinning and a Virgin White Russian \m/

I've heard a lot of complaints about the recording quality of that album. It was one of the very first, if not THE first, that was recorded in some kind of direct-to-digital format, and supposedly, no mixing, fixing, or correction of any kind was possible (at that time, anyway). What he put out was exactly what went on the CD. Maybe I have bad ears from too many years of shooting, but it sounds okay to me. B)

In ancient Rome

There was a poem

about a dog

who found two bones

He picked the one

He licked the other

He went in circles

He fell dead

Bang!

Here's another, a real oldie.

Life could be a dream

If I could take you up paradise up above

If you would tell me I'm the only one that you love

Life could be a dream, sweetheart

What is a 'Virgin White Russian' ?...........A glass of milk ?

No :D

A White Russian is a cocktail of vodka, Kahlua, and heavy cream.

I omit the alcohol, being under 21.

So simply, it's a little coffee with a lot of cream.

Tastes like a real White Russian, just doesn't get you passed out like a real one.

So far I have posted three that no one got so I'll throw out an easy one.

Well I'm gonna paint my picture

Paint myself in blue, red, black and gray

All of the beautiful colors are very, very meaningful

Yeah, well you know, gray is my favorite color

I felt so symbolic yesterday

If I knew Picasso

I would buy myself a gray guitar and play

Roll With It by Steve Winwood.

correct. after reading the lyriks again, I didn't realize the title was in them. don't know it that helped or not.

I'm a big Wall of Voodoo fan going back to their "Dark Continent" days

I have only heard that one song by them. don't know much more. may investigate it a little.

Okay here's some proper lyrics!:

The sword swallower walks up to you
And he kneels
He crosses himself
And then he clicks his high heels
And without further notice
Asks you how it feels
And says, "Here's your throat back
Thanks for the loan"
