correct - not the original artist, but the one o was thinking of.

Yep, just a tad older than Thorogood, by Bo Diddly in the mid 50's. Funny I was thinkin' about posting this tune also!

My favorite Covers were by a Canadian Group Named the Hawks later to be known as The Band and Quicksilver Messenger Service which I was listening to Saturday Morning (which is why I thought about posting the Lyrics)

The Band and Quicksilver Messenger Service were two completely different bands,

I think he may have omitted a comma which I've taken the liberty of inserting into his post.

Oh, looks like there was one that I would have known for sure but I was too slow.

The best cover of that song is definitely made by The Go Getters. Though a short piece of the cover is played in the middle of their song "Mona". :D I've heard that song once in person and I can tell you that it sounds excellent as all of their songs do.

I remember when she was going to be the next big thing, the Queen of Alternative rock...never happened. I think Whip Smart was the last album of hers I remember hearing about. Was that the album with "Supernova" on it?

I think so. "Supernova" is a cool song, one of her best IMO, but I had to be careful with which song of hers I posted. She had quite a tendency to use "naughty" words in her lyrics... like in "Supernova," f'rinstance... ;)

from time to time

but you wouldn't listen

you wouldn't pay me no mind

with a blood curdling "tallyho" she charged into the ranks

and blessed all those grandmas

who with their dying breath scream "THANKS"

I Can't Let Go--I'm hearing Linda Ronstadt singing it, which means it was almost certainly a cover.

Heck, I think I might actually own that record....

I'm Movin' On by Hank Snow

Don't know what the most famous cover version would be, but John Kay does the coolest version imo

That's funny- my mom bought me December's Children when I was 9 and I honestly don't remember that song being on it. I was more into Get Off My Cloud, but I also liked As Tears Go By as I remember.

Hank's suit is awesome, it's probably a Nudie
