chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Are we going to nitpick something like "you" and "y'all" now? If I wrote it just like Jagger said it all the time, it would look pretty strange.

YOU put up a song I've heard since it came out - I kept going over it in my head and for some reason it didn't sound right. http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/rollingstones/cantyouhearmeknocking.html So I double checked my answer before I posted.......... I understand you are wise beyond your years....Maybe you can 'school' me in rock 'n roll ?

chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The quaint old south side scenery is quaint no more Just older than before Go up the steps and down the hallway

The incidental music for the show was composed by Edwin Astly whose daughter married Pete Townshend.

Mike Nesmith went on to gain some respect musically. Rick Springfield was a soap opera star, wasn't he? David Soul of Starsky & Hutch (and the movie Magnum Force) had one minor top-40 hit for a while. (It was horrifying.) Eddie Murphy had one hit, but I think that was mostly the doing of his buddy Rick James. Jennifer Lopez got her start as a "Fly Girl" dancer on the old comedy show In Living Color. And didn't Britney Spears get her start as a child actress on some TV show? She's had a pretty good run at a musical career. Edited November 7, 2014 by Snake45

So Long Dad -Randy Newman Was later covered by Harry Nilsson on "Nilsson Sings Newman," a really, really great album.

Two different songs, but near identical theme and structure - they could easily become a medley: 1. Into the city Where I had my eye On all the pleasures That money can buy... 2. This tired city Was somebody's dream A billboard horizon As black as they seem... #1 - Female folk/pop singer; this was as close to a hit as she got Verdelle Smith - Tar and Cement #2 - Group with three number one hits but this one only charted number 12 Three Dog Night - Family of Man Let's try something else. Seven lonely days And a dozen towns ago...

I don't know if Rick Springfields acting got him into singing or the other way around Snake. He was Noah Drake on General Hospital and made a move in the 80's Hard to Hold. but he has been in a bunch of stuff.. Britney Spears I think got started from star search. I remember her on there. Eddie Murphy had 2 hits party all the time and then Put your mouth on me...
slusher Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Ooh, somethin's got a hold on me now It's a feelin', burnin' like a lover on fire Hold me tight, baby Don't leave me by myself tonight
Crazy Ed Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Don't Pull Your Love by Hamilton and Frand I think..
