GLMFAA1 Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 If you need more windows add the roof portholes in the deluxe wagons. Anything that's got an Allison V12 is OK in my book greg
Ira Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 I dunno- that doesn't match the box art. You must have put something together wrong... Ira, this is really looking neat. I can imagine this one as an article in Car Model magazine, so many years ago. Probably in two or three issues. Thanks ! Thanks John! So glad you are enjoying it...
Ira Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Are the wheels going inside or out of the body? Great build im always amazed by your work Thanks Steve! The Wheels are going to be on the outside...
1930fordpickup Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Still looking awesome Ira. After you cut the rear windows in the body I figured the front window was going to change.
Davewilly Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Looking very cool Ira....Love the Bus idea!
Ira Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 Prime Time! I sprayed a couple coats of DupliColor Filler/Primer on the Beast. Now I can see where I need to do more body work... Rear View. More Coming...
Nitrozilla Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I think it would be in the best interests of Revell or Round 2 to start a line of Ira's off the hook designs. I think there's interest in a wildly radicalized VW bus that has an Allison powerplant behind the pilot. Or is it just me?
Jonathan Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Yeah, Ira could be the next Tom Daniel for Monogram!
Ira Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 Nice progress Ira, engine looks great.. Thanks Carl!
Ira Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 Ira, that engine really looks good, like it's ready for some serious work. Thanks John! Yeah, that is a Big, Powerful Engine...
Ira Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 Good stuff Ira...I enjoy looking in and following your creative imagination...Keep at it! Thanks Darryl! So glad you are enjoying it...
Ira Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 You keep ramping up the coolness factor Ira. The last picture knocked me down! Gorgeous man. I even saw yours first before I updated my own!! Thanks Joe! I really appreciate it...
Ira Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 Paint it Black! I sanded the Chassis down nice & smooth. Then I sprayed on a couple coats of Flat Black Primer. I found some Plastic Tubing that is the right diameter for the rear Axle. I cut it to the right length and glued it in place. Next I fit the Body on the Chassis and marked where the Axle will go through the Body. Then I cut it out with a Dremel Tool. More Coming...
Ira Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 If you need more windows add the roof portholes in the deluxe wagons. Anything that's got an Allison V12 is OK in my book greg Thanks Greg! I think I have enough Windows for now, but I might add a couple Window Posts later...
Ira Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Gets better with every update. Thanks Bob!
Ira Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Man, this thing is a hoot! Thanks Jonathan! So glad you like it...
Pim Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 This is incredible work Ira I have being watching this since the start and am amazed at your work. It has made think about shoehorning a Lincoln v12 into a beetle for something different
Ira Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Still looking awesome Ira. After you cut the rear windows in the body I figured the front window was going to change. Thanks Andy! You guessed it...
Ira Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 Axles! I am using the Front Axle from the Monogram Pie Wagon. I cut off the plastic Axle Pins and drilled holes for steel Axle Pins. Then I glued in the New Pins with Zap-A-Gap. I did a little carving on these rear Suspension Parts from the Baja Beast Kit... Here they are painted Silver Leaf and glued in place. After a little more paint and a Light Black Wash... More Coming...
Nitrozilla Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Now there's a rear end that means business. (Can I say that here? )
cobraman Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I never tire of your builds. You never disappoint us.
