ridinframe Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about someone trading all of their models/ supplies for non model items.. Musical instruments, wood working tools.. Things like that?
Renegade Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I don't see anything wrong with it. You just have to find someone with what you want who is looking for models.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If you look at the description for the trading post and wanted they are for model parts only. You would have to do something like craigslist for what you want to do.
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I would think as long as your trade involved something model related it should be cool ! I would rather see a builder or collector have your plastic then the dumpster . WHat do you have to trade ? you never know what we might have to trade you with LOL !
Dale W. Verts Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 For the right Telecaster, it would be tempting... It'd be a steal too (I don't have that much in modeling stuff yet). Dale
ZTony8 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If that's what someone wants to do,why not?It's their stuff.
Daddyfink Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 So are you trading or just asking for opinions?
freakshow12 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I have lots of stuff. What do you need?
MsDano85gt Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I see nothing wrong with it just don't have regrets.....(I had to try to get back alot of my things I traded away here at mcm from flea bay) some of the stuff is about impossible!!but it was just cause I was a new Daddy to a beautiful baby girl and money was slim so had to do some tradeing / pm'ing to move some of the collection. Now that my daughter is 3 I have recouped many things I losttraded away then, but still having troubles finding some. Will do it again for baby girl # 2 due here in october if it get that wayI also once traded die cast hot wheels cars a fair amount of them in a box for a new SONY Brand Blu Ray DVD playersky is the limits
Tom Geiger Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 It could be good if someone is getting out of the hobby and wants to trade his model stuff for things related to a new hobby. Over the years I've had a few guys who left the hobby contact me to sell their hoard. In those cases it was unfortunate that they wanted way too much money for the entire mess, much of it cheap easily found kits I already had multiples of.
