As suggested by Freakshow12, here is a place to post your Revell 1970 Cuda pics. I thought it was a great idea to have a plce for everyone to post and see what others are doing with the kit since some have had issues with the Revell and this kit.

I myself have enjoyed building it so much that I have built 3 and working on more.

Next 1970 Ivy Green Metallic Mod Top Hemi Cuda. Paint was from Scale Finishes and then topped with Testors Lacquer Ultra Gloss Clearcoat. Mod Top is a decal from Keith Marks, laid down beautifully.

Then we have the 1970 Don Grotheer ProStock. This was built using the Sox and Martion ProStock kit. The colors were painted on using Testors Lacquer White, Testors Lacquer Hemi Orange and Scale Finished B5 Bright Blue. Decals are an Ebay purchase from a few years ago, I belive they were Billy Gooch decals. Wheels were also from Ebay from sell t.m.resin.

I built this one when the model was 1st release. real nice kit, but I had a lot of trouble putting the front driving lights on. I finally gave up and mine doesn't have any.

Fred, how did you attach those tires and wheels?

Great question, I used the wheel backs from the hurst olds convertible kit. Super glued them to the steelies from the 68 charger which gave the perfect width for the amt hurst olds tires. Then I trimmed the plastic from the wheel back stub to get the right width. I had to drill the pin holes in the rear axles deeper. It was a bit of messing around and I will be honest, I'm not sold on these pin mount wheels. Lol

Here is my 70 Cuda kit. I decided to detail out everything I could. IMO this is one of the best Kits Revell has ever done. I dont understand all the complaints that people have had with this kit. If you want a perfect kit, that you dont have to do a lot to, get a die-cast. No kit is perfect and the idea of modeling is to understand that and correct what you can. When I started modeling, mold lines and flash were found on almost every kit, and most modelers understood it would be part of the build to clean it up. As for correcting inaccuracies, it was also part of the build. This kit has very little that needs to be done, and the fit and assembly is the closest thing to perfect for a Revell kit you'll find. And it lends itself to detailing rather nicely.

Guys, those are some fine looking models! What I love about the period are the Rallye Wheels, from all of the Muscle Car makers. GM had some beauties!

But my favorite is still, on a Mopar, steel rims and nut caps. They just look sinister. Thanks Fred-freakshow12, that's some fine detail work there. Don't see many E Bodies with steelies.
