Agent G Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 This is what I've been working on with what little spare time I've had recently. I also posted this in the "All the Rest Community Build". This is the older DML Pz III G with Panzer Art barrel/mantlet assembly. I scratchbuilt the jerry can rack and added some Value gear stowage. This is built as one of the original tanks in the theatre from Panzer Regiment 5. They hadn't quite gotten around to adding the stowage rack on the rear yet. They did realize the need for spare track and roadwheels though. The track sections also served as add on armor. It's painted with my Tamiya mix for RAL 8000 over Tamiya Panzer Gray. I weathered it with oils, enamels and pastels. The mottled appearence replicates how they looked what with the initial shortage of paint. I bought a case and made the desert base from modelling clay. Cato Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Beautifully done-looks the part of a nasty piece.
Snake45 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Very nice! I can't build German tanks but I like looking at the work of those who can.
Agent G Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 Thank you all! I really had fun with this one. So much so that I was working on it and suddenly decided she was finished. Took me by suprise it did. G
Harry P. Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Another outstanding model. You really have that weathering thing down. Beautifully done.
DonW Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 The ideal shopping vehicle, much more manoeuvrable than a Tiger! I like the thinking behind this, wonder if an aerial would look good - I always used to add one made of stretched sprue. But anyway your model is just fine!
Agent G Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Thank you! I used .015 music wire for the aerial, it's just folded down. G
clovis Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Very nice job!!!Wish that I could build that nice!!!
Tony T Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Wow, that is nice! The weathering is outstanding!
David G. Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Now there's some rockin' heavy metal! Great work G! David G.
