Sam I Am Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I have been working on a deal for some big rig stuff for about nine months. The guy delivered the pickup load of kits, built ups, partial builds, and parts, parts, and more parts. The one that intrigues me the most is the stretched KW. I just need to figure out what to put on it. lol
Petetrucker07 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Man am i jealous. Thats awesome and looks to be well worth the wait
redneckrodder Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 dang someones got luck on their side...wanna share a little bit of both...lol jk
redneckrodder Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 how did someone in wyoming have that much models...i thought that state was deader than colorado for model building...wow
Chuck Most Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Sweet! Wouldn't mind just having one or two of what I see there, much less the whole haul!
kilrathy10 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Good Flippin' Gravy!!!!! That IS a score.....Hope to see some of those up on the trade block..... The Bison stands out in particular.....I like that jumbo tank trailer, too....I have a lot of Euro rigs in need of trailers.....I also like that 44' Galaxie trailer, as well..... Superpeterbilt Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 That looks like a good stash. As for the Kw Alaskan Hauler with the stretched frame, I would add a tag axle, a mercury sleeper, and a headache rack.
Sam I Am Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks Guys !! Terry, I was already thinking about the tag axle, now i need to go look at pics of sleepers. lol James, it came from Billings. JT, I have no idea what I will do with it all yet. It will take awhile to inventory it all, and I will post more pics as I unpack stuff.
scummy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Geez , that isa lot of stuff man , is that a kenworth challenger mixer kit in there ???
Old Buckaroo Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Billings - cripes that is in my territory Awesome to see those kits are going to get a second chance and grace the display shelves. Good for you !
redneckrodder Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Dang montanas got more modelers...i thought the only one was sean...jkjk
Sam I Am Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks Dennis ! Mark, I am not sre on the Mixer, have not opened that box up yet. Sean, this stuff came from an old Hobby Shop that closed down, and the old guy who owned it was a huge modeler. The guy I got this bunch from brought home four pickup loads plus a 16 ft trailer piled four feet high.
Jim B Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 WOW!! That's a lot of truck stuff. Should keep you busy for a good long time. Some rare kits there, too. As for the Alaskan Hauler Kenworth withe the streatched frame, I'd go oilfield truck, myself.
Mackvision Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I'm with Jim on the oilfield rig for the KW,floats up front, headache rack, diamond plate pull body, could be nice! I have my eye on that NAVL moving van if any trade opportunities show up LOL!.......................................Mark
Sam I Am Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 I've been going through the boxes tonight and since I am partial to cab overs, I was tickled pink to find most of a built Mack Cruise liner !!!
Sam I Am Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Ok, here are a couple more pics. The first pic has three stacks of kits, the center stack and right stack are all brand new sealed bags, unbuilt. The stack on the left is barely started. the second pic is of partial kits, I think the rest of the parts are in the boxes of misc. parts. The Cruise liner is also pictured. There is some 1/32 stuff, and a 1/43 ? built that is unpainted. I will gladly part with these.
tbill Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 wow! nice selection of kits/builders you got there. you will be busy this winter for sure!
Mr mopar Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Nice score.................................it's always awesome when you get old kits.
High octane Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Congrats, what a great haul! While I haven't built any "big rigs" since the early-mid 80's, you did REAL good picking up that lot.
DPNM Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Nice Haul Sam!!! I'm in with the oil field votes on the stretched KW.
