Daddyfink Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 So I post something that is more model related than a thread about parking and it gets moved to off topic? Just another reason to want to leave this board.
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I'm pretty sure I saw this on KickStarter a while back, and thought it would make an outstanding modeling tool. Great for me because I do mostly heavy custom work, with a lot of slice-and-dice. I often need to fill a volume with something rough to hold epoxy or filler, and this little gem will do the trick. I can also see forming coil springs with it, and who knows what else. Thanks for posting. I'm buying ASAP.
timc Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 At first thought was this has got to be expensive. Now after some research, they are actually very affordable. That is if you don't have to have the name brand. The foreign knock offs look to be affordable and the abs plastic can be had in 1 kg spools for under $60.Your choice of colors too. Now talk about being able to scratch together some roll cages and truss work. Brake and fuel lines could just be drawn out and then glued into place. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Your time was not wasted. Thanks bigtim.
Daddyfink Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys, Glad someone liked it. I only know about it because Michael's Crafts stores are carrying them here locally and I am really thinking of getting one. I see an quick way of wiring up and engine with one of these. So who is responsible for moving it here? Edited September 27, 2014 by Daddyfink
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Interesting tool. I was thinking this would suit crafts more but Ive seen some interesting ideas for it here. The mods are the ones that move topics. More than likely it was Harry.

Filling gaps between the bumpers and body, etc. That would be so nice.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 From what I've heard, it's not really useful for more detail-y stuff. But, I agree that the gap-filling aspect of it would be great.
