kilrathy10 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I have that too. I want the space station next.Oh, yeah....Me too....Is that out, yet??And, I have heard the Space Shuttle referred to as a space TRUCK on several occasions, so.....
kilrathy10 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Cool....I'm sure I'll getting the bucket excavator real soon, though....Man, that thing looks pretty cool....
Petetrucker07 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 The guy at LHS where I bought the shuttle says there is a PE set to replace all the launch tower structure. He told me it's it's around 250 dollars, just for the PE set. I'm sure it would really set it off. But that's a pretty chunk of change.
Force Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 The Mustang II FC is the main reason I bought it, and I got this combo kit for less money than the Mustang alone usually goes for on ebay.
highway Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 The Mustang II FC is the main reason I bought it, and I got this combo kit for less money than the Mustang alone usually goes for on ebay. It probably helped that the truck was just reissued, causing that "collector value" to bottom out.
Petetrucker07 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Scored these in a couple of trades. And bought this for a change of pace.
Petetrucker07 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm kinda excited about the Stalis. It's gonna be really hard to peterize this.
Jim B Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I have a Stralis in the stash as well. If you want to "Peter-ize" a Euro truck maybe a DAF XF105 would be a good choice. Go with KFS' DAF XT hood, or something like that. Kenworth already uses the DAF cab for the K500. Seems logical to me.
Fat Brian Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Based on some previous posts I think the objective is to avoid peterizing it.
Petetrucker07 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I don't intend to peterize my builds. Sometimes they end up that way. I'm planning on a pretty much box stock build of it to be safe.
Petetrucker07 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 It's not so much a case of "Peterizing", it's more a case of "this is the style of truck I see on the road". When you see a certain style of truck it tends to influence what you do with your builds. You're probably right. Kinda like how you boys on the east coast have your own style. I've only seen one Euro truck in person. It was a blue Scania RV. It was in 2013. The interior was done kind of lowrider like. Meteor crush 2 tone blue velvet,
Jim B Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I still think a Peter-ized DAF XT would be cool looking.
Chuck Most Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 It probably helped that the truck was just reissued, causing that "collector value" to bottom out. I love it when that happens! I just got a couple of original issue AMT White Western Stars for about five bucks more than the list price of a reissue- I don't even want to think what they'd have gone for prior to the reissue.
guitarsam326 Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 The mail lady was super nice to me yesterday! the b-67 kit from AITM was an anniversary gift from my lovely wife, and the 55 KW needle nose was GIVEN to me...i want to send out another huge thank you to this person!
Superpeterbilt Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Very awesome gift Sam, and Happy Anniversary. That KW is a great kit. I wish I had about 20 of them. Mrs. Sam is definitely a keeper!
anarximis Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Clayton, that sounds very familiar just asking but would anyone be willing the sell or trade iam looking for an international 4300 and the kw k123 or k100
Superpeterbilt Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 I picked up these two built ups recently. The Mack is actually pretty nice except for seams all over the whole truck. The Ford isn't that bad either. The Mack is just going on the shelf for right now. The Ford will be a resin donor.
Truck parts Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Great find's to you guys, And to Sam's wife Great job !!!!!!!!!!!
