Old Buckaroo Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Awesome Angel, I am looking very forward to seeing this one built !
Superpeterbilt Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 I had a few things waiting for me on the porch today. I got a Revell race car trailer to tow behind the Ford Race hauler. Also there's another diecast old school Great Dane, and a diecast 66 Ford F100 that will be turned into an F800.
tonye66 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Just scored an AMT Kenworth T600a sealed for $20 off the bay. Cheapest I've found. I refuse to pay a lot for it knowing the work that has to go into it to build an accurate version....
tbill Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 wow, you guys are pulling in some cool stuff lately i just placed an order for some goodies, look for a picture in a week or so
Jim B Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Nice stuff, guys. Terry, I seriously have to get one of those vintage Grate Dane trailers before you buy them all! But then again, if you buy them all, I'll know where they are.
Chuck Most Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Tom's mail carrier is easy to spot. He's the one wearing the titanium back brace.
Petetrucker07 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Nice haul Tom. Christmas came early to the Billings home.
tbill Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 haha.... Terry, you bought all the gravel trailers, so i had to go a different route kit-wise, haha. Clayton, i work what is called 'flat rate' fixing cars, i had a good productive week [got paid for 80 hours in a 46 hour week], so i had some play money Chuck, i am quite sure my UPS guy is not a model builder, as everything always shows up............
Superpeterbilt Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 I nabbed a few things for a new project idea. I grabbed a 60 Chevy pickup on ebay to convert into a C70. I also bought a 61 GMC brochure, as I plan to get a few more of these kits and build a couple as GMC 5500's. I also scored a Chevy 409 from Bismark to turn into a 301 V6 for this projects. The frame will be scratch built because of its unique shape. heres some shots of the brochure I plan on building the C70 as a wrecker. I couldn't resist getting started.
truckabilly Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Wow, I like this idea. It is always pleasure to build a model with reference material like this. Cannot wait to see it done.
disabled modeler Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Terry.... That is going to be awesome buddy...! Very cool...!
Superpeterbilt Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 I was out and about today, so I stopped and gave some more of my money to Hobby Lobby. The mailman also dropped off another diecast Great Dane. Jim, I'm up to 4 now! I have a Coke one in a box somewhere.
Chuck Most Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Not a bad way to cap off the day, especially after getting burned (literally) at work...

angelo7 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Original 70's. I've built two of these already, one in 1979 and one recently. Why did I buy a third one?
Petetrucker07 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Cuz you can never have too many kits. One day I'll get one of those.
