Petetrucker07
Would have been downright stupid to pass on it for that price. Even if a ProStar's not what you want, you'd have some really nice trade fodder for somebody. That's what figured. I thought of building it curb side and converting the engine to resemble a cummins. Chuck Most
Two Raiders, one with a forward-set axle, and one with a set back front axle. The setback one looks like it might be an old Gortsema casting.

Superpeterbilt
Well, I can finally scratch this one off the list... Awesome Chuck. This is definitely my favorite AMT kit. The only major flaw is the location of the rear trunion.
Chuck Most
I'll order this one no trunion, then. (Ba-dum-tsssssssssss)

Superpeterbilt
Walking on sunshine... Great score Chuck. Hopefully that didn't hit the old wallet too hard. I know these have gotten outrageous. What are you planning to use as a donor?
Chuck Most
Great score Chuck. Hopefully that didn't hit the old wallet too hard. I know these have gotten outrageous. What are you planning to use as a donor? Oh, it hit the wallet plenty hard enough. But if you want it badly enough you pay, right? I think I might do my own frame with some C-section strip and spare Louisville crossmembers. Might be a while before I get around to this one, so I've got plenty of time to map things out. Luckily I found my overpriced resin Ford when the Italeri Ford wreckers were just released at a reasonable price. So mine will be on a LTL 9000 chassis, eventually. It's confusing that the box label recommends a FLD120 chassis, which as you know is s.f.b.a.
Chuck Most
I have an incomplete Aeromax 120... but again, I'm going to make my own Ford chassis for it. I'll save the chassis for something a lot more Freightliner-y. I believe the KFS instructions show how to modify the 'Shaker chassis to work with the CL cab, though. disabled modeler
Scratch another one off the list... Nice find Chuck...those Ertl truck kits were some of my favorites shame more of them never got re-issued for us all.
Superpeterbilt
Someone tell Indiana Jones that I found the holy grail, twice! Yes, I finally paid ebay prices for two of these chrome tankers. I also got a decent deal on the FLD to replace two that I sold because I thought I would never build them. Petetrucker07
Dude.. 2!!! But as you said, Ebay prices. But still. I really hope Revell reissues it in the near future.
kilrathy10
That IS a good score, Terry.....I'm with Clayton on the reissue of the tankers......I'd love to see them come out without chrome plating, though.....And while Italeri is at the reissue thing, I hope they come back out with that Freightliner, too.... I wouldnt mind seeing this reissued. Im not really a fan of the AMT tanker. I have a few of the IMC tankers, a few Italeri tankers, and now these two. Chuck Most
That's both the AMT Autocars, right... the tractor and the dump? If so, I can say I have a "complete set of AMT Autocar kits".
