Pavel A. Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Today´s hunt Cabine kit from Stratomodels... Peterbilt 351
farmallgray Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I got a couple decent deals on ebay which is unusal. I got a decently built Paystar 5000 logger for $25 and was only missing a couple pieces. I also got a IH F-4270 built that came with a factory sealed 4300 reissue and two Transtar sales brochures for $38 which is about what the 4300 goes for by itself. The built is missing the stacks, one front outer wheel and a few minor things. I'm having some fun fixing junkers.
Old Buckaroo Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Pavel - Very Nice ! Just in today Resin Reo V-63 conversion And this Hulk of a trailer
Superpeterbilt Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Today´s hunt Cabine kit from Stratomodels... Peterbilt 351 Very cool Pavel. Is that 1/25 scale?
Superpeterbilt Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Pavel - Very Nice ! Just in today Resin Reo V-63 conversion And this Hulk of a trailer Very obscure truck. Have you decided on a motor yet?I wonder if theres anything existing that can be easily mofified into the Gold Comet engine?
Pavel A. Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Yes Terry. It is the same like Truckabilly made as a logger.
Superpeterbilt Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Yes Terry. It is the same like Truckabilly made as a logger. Ah, very interesting. How would you rate it compared to the AMT California Hauler with a resin 351 hood?
Pavel A. Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Hm, I can say this full resin were prepared from the base as original 351, what I know. With all sizes. I think this is better.
Chuck Most Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Who casts that REO V-63? I've seen it on eBay a few times but I still don't know who casts it.
Roadrunner Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I only anticipate building two or three big haulers, but they need something to drag around, so I swapped some stuff for this. (Thanks, Sean.)
Petetrucker07 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I just scored this. I'm sure it has its issues, but it's more for nostalgia. I also scored the matching car to go with it.
Superpeterbilt Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 What scale is that Clayton, and what type of car?
Petetrucker07 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) It's 1/32, the car is a snap John force funnycar. Edited February 26, 2015 by Petetrucker07
Superpeterbilt Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 It's 1/32, the car is a snap John force funnycar. That trailer looks a lot cooler than the 1/25 moving van with race decals. Was this kit later issued in Harley Davidson dress?
Petetrucker07 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Not a model kit. But it is for my work truck. Its a special addition CB radio. It will be getting a 100 watt tune up. Edited February 27, 2015 by Petetrucker07

It could have been. I guess now I have a reason to buy another New Ray truck. I'll be needing better rims and tires I'm sure. Edited February 27, 2015 by Petetrucker07

That trailer looks a lot cooler than the 1/25 moving van with race decals. Was this kit later issued in Harley Davidson dress? Terry, they are much better than the 1/25 scale, I have the Dale Earnhardt and Davey Allison versions, both with the matching cars. The only thing I didn't realize when I bought the cars was that the car on the hauler was the Monte Carlo and I bought 4 Luminas!! They were only a couple dollars a piece on an ebay find, so no biggy! The Allison car is the correct one though!
Loadmat Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Today I picked up the 1/32 Snap Freightliner with Trailer - It looks really nice. Also bought the 1/32 Kenworth T600A - I found out Snaptite isn't a "bad word" when it comes to these truck models - I see all kinds of possibilities!
Petetrucker07 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Check that off the grail list. Edited March 2, 2015 by Petetrucker07
tbill Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 oh man! I still need one of those for the 'collection'. glad you scored one
